It needs to be said.
People are far too quick to cry “scam” after joining an
online opportunity. If they’re not making money within
days, then the program is flawed or the people behind
it are only after one thing.
It’s an epidemic that’s growing by leaps and bounds.
It’s affecting tens of thousands of people.
Mostly “Salt-of-the-Earth” types…
The ones who work hard to provide for their families, care about
their friends and generally are good, kind individuals.
They venture out into this vast space called the Internet
in search of a better life.
An extra $500 a month would do wonders for thousands.
It’s sad.
Picture an airplane waiting for its passengers to load.
Hundreds of people flock through the gate at a time, trying in
vain to board the “Passport to Freedom”.
In hopes that one day, they won’t have to rob their kids coin jar
to put gas in the family van or to pay for groceries at the local
Dollar Tree.
( I wish I WAS exaggerating! )
As they wait patiently for the plane to take-off, thoughts of
new cars, dream vacations, college educations and retirement
run through their head.
Is it only a dream?
Or will it one day become a reality?
For a select few, their dreams will turn out exactly like they had
imagined they would. For others, it won’t be so pretty.
The latter will be spending their time complaining about the
leads they just got and how they SUCK! Or they’ll be wasting
precious minutes and even hours online posting forum messages
calling programs that aren’t even opportunities SCAMS!
It’s funny.
But it’s also very, very sad.
To see a person squirm in their own “mind muck”.
Unable to break free of the past in order to grasp the rings
to take them into the present and beyond.
Unable to compare an OPPORTUNITY with a TOOL.
Am I being far too dramatic?
I don’t think so.
The other day I was browsing through one of the many online
forums only to discover a thread that me made sit up and take
notice.
On there, a person who’s identity was hidden by the screen name,
was bashing a $39 book about MLM Prospecting. It’s a book that I
personally own and have used to make thousands of dollars from.
But he ( or she ) on there was calling it a SCAM.
It’s a $39 BOOK!
But there they were, wasting hours ( the size of the posts were
unreal ) on end to make rebuttal, after rebuttal, after pointless
rebuttal.
Why?
I don’t have a clue.
All I can do is shake my head in wonderment.
Here’s another, from another forum.
This person was bashing a $19.95/per month movie presentation.
Calling it a SCAM and to stay away from it at all costs.
Again I have to ask myself…
Why?
Both the book and movie presentation are TOOLS.
Not OPPORTUNITIES or Businesses.
Picture a construction worker yelling and screaming at a SHOVEL
because it didn’t do what it was supposed to do.
Thats what I’m talking about.
But somehow it’s gotten to be OK to yell and cry SCAM
at any little thing, regardless of structure or price.
And people wonder why it’s difficult to get others into their
program.
When thousands of Salt-of-the-Earth types are surfing online
right this very minute, searching desperately for a way out.
And all they see is SCAM this or SCAM that.
Written by people who can’t differeniate the difference
between a quality program and a true “pie-in-the-sky”
money game.
Everything’s a SCAM!
BullS***!
The truth of the matter is that there are hundreds of
quality programs out there.
I believe that there is something for everyone and every budget.
You’ve got $20 programs and you’ve got $2000 programs.
Do your due diligence prior to joining.
Talk to the person behind the site.
That’s why I post my number on the front page of my
programs site, 1UpCashSystem.com
Already today, 3 people called me to see if I was “real”.
It’s a tiny step, but one that must be taken if you’re
going to take your online business and future income
seriously.
Another thing you can do is send the owner or contact
person an email and see how prompt they reply. Most
sites say 24-48 hours for a response but I feel a good
program offering good support will reply within hours.
And lastly, use your own personal intuition. If something
inside of you is setting off tiny bells, then it might mean to
back away completely. Or it just might mean that you need
additional information before making a decision.
Either way, know this….
You’re your own best judgement. Regardless of what you
read or hear online about any program, stand up and be
your own person. Make the choice thats right for you.
Too often, the people posting SCAM information didn’t
work the program at all or if they did, it was a half a**ed
effort.
I had one guy in MN who complained to me that my program
didn’t work and after 4 days, insisted that I issue a refund.
When confronted on the phone, he admitted that he didn’t
work the program at all and that he just needed the money
back for other reasons.
Which leads me to my final thought…
If you’re joining a program with rent or mortgage money, DON’T!
You’ll be the one posting online crying SCAM. And it won’t be
because of the program. It will be because you got yourself
into a “pressure cooker” situation and you couldn’t take the heat.
We had a saying at Red Lobster…
“If you can’t take the HEAT, stay out of the KITCHEN”!
Until next time, Tim
